In addition to being in charge of the Paint/Stain Department, Annette is a self-taught artist in oil painting, acrylic painting, wood working and photography. She began her artistic career as a professional musician in Puerto Rico.
Her favorite passion is creating hand-painted and computer graphic Mandalas.
Annette's works have recently been exhibited at the Bellefonte Art Museum (February 2025) and the State College Municipal Building (October 2025). Transformation (Installation) and Choose Me (Digital) were published in Conjuring: Love & Other Cautionary Tales (Sotomayor, 2024). 𝙸⨁ - Performative Art Installation on Black Joy (March 2025) as a book chapter (publication forthcoming) in The Book: When The “Rainbow Is Enuf”: Critical Race Love Letters From Black And Brown Women Adult Higher Education Educators Living In Joy (Merriweather, Howell & Gnanadass, Ed.).
